Benissa coast is just south of the affluent resort of Moraira and to the north of the larger resort of Calpe. It is about an hour's drive to the city of Alicante and its international airport. Valencia and its airport are about 90 minutes away along the AP7 motorway.
Along with the spectacular views, Benissa Coast is a favourite place for hikers and cyclists who enjoy exploring the challenging rugged cliffs and mountains which form a backdrop to Benissa.
Benissa Coast has six pretty little beaches and coves, ideal for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing while drinking in the incredible views. It has a rocky coastline and you can enjoy a gentle stroll along the eco-trail from Les Bassetes Nautical Club to L'Advocat Cove for picture-postcard views amid the Mediterranean flora and fauna.
The medieval town centre is 8kms inland from the coast with historic buildings along with loads of shops and banks, including an Iceland supermarket in Avenida de Europa to stock up on British products.
Benissa town and coast have a population of about 11,000 residents, of whom half are Spanish. About 2,000 Brits have moved to Benissa and a similar number of German residents.
