June is when the Costa Blanca truly begins to settle into summer. The days are long, the skies are almost endlessly blue, and Jávea starts to take on a wonderful holiday atmosphere. Average daytime temperatures typically range between 27 and 30 degrees, with warm evenings perfect for outdoor dining and sunset walks. Beaches become busier, cafés spill onto terraces, and the coastline begins to buzz with anticipation for the season ahead. Unlike the peak summer months, June still offers a relaxed feel, making it one of the best times to enjoy the area before the height of July and August arrives.

June is one of the Costa Blanca’s biggest fiesta months. In Jávea, preparations and celebrations for Fogueres de Sant Joan fill the town with music, parades, fireworks and community events. One of the most magical traditions takes place on the Night of San Juan, when bonfires and celebrations welcome the official start of summer.
Elsewhere, nearby Moraira celebrates its spectacular Moors and Christians Fiesta, complete with elaborate costumes, live music, parades and the famous landing on the beach. Across the Marina Alta, villages and towns host local fiestas, markets and food events that bring communities together and offer visitors a true taste of Spanish culture.

There is something special about June on the Costa Blanca. It has all the ingredients of summer without the intensity of peak season. The sea is warming up, outdoor life returns fully, and the pace feels exciting but still manageable. Morning walks along the Arenal, lunches overlooking the port and evenings in the old town become part of everyday life again.
For many, June captures the Costa Blanca at its very best. Relaxed, sunny and full of life, with summer just beginning to unfold.

There’s a new seaside spot arrived in Jávea this season and it already looks like it could become one of summer’s favourite hangouts. Grupo Cala Bandida has officially opened Caleta Bandida, bringing a fresh take on the traditional Spanish beach bar, with a relaxed Mediterranean spirit at its heart.
Forget loud playlists and rushed lunches. Caleta Bandida is all about slowing down and embracing the simple pleasures of summer. Here, the soundtrack is the sea itself. Think lazy breakfasts overlooking the Mediterranean, ice-cold beers that turn into long after-lunch conversations, plates of crispy fried favourites, freshly grilled sardines, tapas to share and afternoons that somehow stretch effortlessly into evening.

Tourism in the Valencian Community has reached record levels, now contributing an impressive 19% of the region’s economy and reinforcing its position as one of the area’s biggest economic drivers. The latest figures were revealed at a tourism study presentation held at the Parador in Jávea, highlighting the sector’s growing impact across the region.
The industry now supports more than 384,000 jobs and continues to generate significant benefits beyond tourism itself, boosting sectors such as hospitality, retail, transport and construction. Officials say the focus remains on creating a more sustainable, year-round tourism model that benefits both residents and visitors while supporting long-term economic growth.
June markets are bursting with colour and flavour as summer produce arrives in abundance. Cherries are one of the stars of the month, alongside apricots, peaches, nectarines and the first sweet watermelons and melons of the season. Loquats remain popular in the Marina Alta, while lemons and citrus continue to feature in local dishes and drinks.
Vegetable stalls become brighter too, filled with tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, cucumbers and courgettes. Fresh herbs, olives and local almonds remain staples across the region. June is the perfect month for light Mediterranean meals, gazpacho, grilled seafood and fresh salads enjoyed outdoors in the sunshine.
