We love supporting local charities and do lots behind the scenes to work with our community in a variety of ways. During the last few weeks, the VillaMia team have been taking part in the JAM JAR CHALLENGE on behalf of Javea Cancer Care!
Javea Cancer Care aims to raise funds for Hospitals, Research, Patient Care and Individuals. If you haven’t visited their Boutique in Javea, then it is well worth a visit! It offers customers a selection of designer labels and up-market brands of womenswear. They also have a traditional charity shop in Javea Park which is great for small household items women's and menswear
If you are passing by the charity or VillaMia, drop in and donate some spare change – every penny counts!
The initiative started when a generous anonymous friend of the charity, who they call Mr. Buck Penny, came up with the idea to match all donations received from loose change donated in the jars.
Michelle Hughes, owner of VillaMia said: “This is a great initiative and as a team we are aiming to fill at least five complete jars. I already had a lot of loose change at home which got us off to a good start and we also have a jar in the office if any clients want to donate.”
To take part in the JAM JAR APPEAL. Simply pick up a jar from the shop if needed then throw in your lightweight loose coins and then and when it's full you can donate them to the charity. The donation will then be matched and put towards good use.
Once our jars are full, they will be matched by Mr Buck Penny.
