VíllaMía expands into 2022

VillaMia is pleased to expand it´s team with the appointment of a new property manager.

Callam Walsh has joined the estate agent and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in managing businesses in the UK.  This includes a partner in a Property Sales & Lettings business where he worked to build up a letting business from very few properties to many hundreds.  He successfully delivered new platforms within the business delivering excellence in service and improved efficiencies in ways of working to support all clients from day-to-day enquires to monthly or yearly maintenance checks including the processing of legal documentation.  He was able to manage many relationships including bringing in the right teams at the right times to support all property maintenance requirements.

VillaMia – part of Mia Costa Blanca SL – has a strong team of six women covering sales, long term rentals and winter lets. The whole property management side of the business will now move under the control of Callam.

Callam, who moved to Spain with his wife Julia and three sons last year, said: "It is a privilege to be joining VillaMia.  I understand the importance of providing the highest quality of service having run businesses in the UK including a Creative Marketing Company, Property development and more recently building up a successful Property Management & Lettings business.  Being a landlord myself for over 20 years I have the experience to support all current and new customers.

Michelle Hughes, owner of VillaMia, added: “Callam is highly experienced and I’m sure will be a huge asset to help strengthen the property management side of the business. He is going to be busy as it can be very time-consuming and it will allow me to concentrate more on the sales side of the business which has naturally grown over the past three years. I want to welcome Callam to our team.”

For managed rentals, Callam will visit the property before a rental contracts starts to complete an inventory list and check everything is in order. He will then be the point of contact for tenants and owners and deal with any maintenance work needed and any issues that arise such as late rental payments. He will also oversee the exit and return of the deposit. Callam will do a property report before, during and after the rental so owners have complete peace of mind.
