"Many agents can end up advertising the same properties because owners will advertise through multiple agencies. However, clients may not realise they are the same properties and set up duplicate viewings. This is because different photos and text will be used from agent to agent, and even different prices may be shown. Some agents purposely advertise a lower rate than owners have agreed, so that they are contacted first! The agent then hopes that when the owner is presented with a prospective tenant, they will agree to the lower rate and if not, well at least now the agent has new clients to show other properties but we do not work like this.
