Most people associate Coca Cola with a hot summer's day, but did you know that it can also be used to clean around the home? You can use it as a replacement toilet cleaner - pour it in the rim of your toilet bowl and leave for a few hours before brushing and flushing away. For best results, leave overnight.
After you have cleaned your toilet, pour some cleaner into the bottom of your toilet brush holder to keep the brush clean.
Instead of spending money on cleaning products go back to basics and use lemon instead. Use it to clean soap scum and tough stains in your sink and bath tub. You can also combine lemon with white wine vinegar to make a glass cleaner. Use approximately 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar to two tablespoons of lemon juice and mix together well.

Microwaves make our lives much easier, but cleaning them can be a pain, especially if you have forgotten to cover food when you use it. To get rid of the stains, let a cup of hot boiling water with lemon sit and steam the inside for a few minutes before wiping it down.
Clean hairs and dust from your lamp shade using a lint roller. It can also be used to get rid of pet hairs from clothing.
Keep an extra bin bag or two at the bottom of your kitchen bin so that when it comes to changing it you can put a new one in straight away rather than looking through your cupboards.
Get into the habit of wiping your bin with a hot cloth and sanitiser every time you empty it to reduce the build up of grime that will be harder to remove later on.
If you have a small spot on the floor that needs mopping, spray a little sanitiser on your mop head rather than getting the bucket out to save water and effort.
If you own an electric grill, a very simple way to clean it after you have used it is to dampen a paper towel with hot water and put it in the grill with the lid down. The remaining heat after the grill is switched off will steam the grill and make it easy to wipe down.
