VillaMia has opened a new office on the Arenal, located next to Black Beluga – and celebrated in style.
The leading estate agency which specialises in long term rentals has been established over 10 years and built up an excellent reputation with this office being the first office on the Arenal, previously located on the outskirts of Javea.
Michelle Hughes, owner of VillaMia, said: "Javea is such a fantastic place to live and we are inundated with enquiries but there are not enough decent properties available. We are hoping that being right on the beach front we will get more walk-ins from owners to help satisfy demand. We have always done well, mainly due to repeat business, but I think this office will really put us on the map for sales as well.”
Heading up the sales department is Cheryl Longfield, who was brought up and educated in Javea. The fluent Spanish speaker said: "This is really exciting for us. I have been in the property business since leaving school many years ago but now I have the opportunity to grow a business and there is so much potential in Javea with the excellent schools and services which attract people from all over the world.”
Michelle, originally from Wales, moved to Javea six and a half years ago and bought the business just over 4 years ago. Since taking over she has increased the business, now having over 800 properties on her books and a weekly mailing to over 500 clients. She has also invested heavily in marketing and taken advantage of her PR background to generate new leads and attract almost 1000 followers on her VillaMia facebook page.
Helen Davis attended the launch on behalf of Make A Smile, she added: "Michelle has been a great supporter of our charity over the years. Last Christmas she took part in our Christmas Bag Appeal and will again be involved when we launch our 2015 campaign. She has encouraged her clients to donate good quality clothes and toys, along with household items and furniture. The VillaMia Agency is also one of our drop of points and is always helping to promote our various community projects. She has even sent her family members to work on the Self Sufficiency Greenhouse Project in Relleu. We are really keen to encourage more local businesses to become involved.”
‘’The clients of VillaMia who turned up to the launch were extremely generous and we raised 137 euros in raffle tickets and a client of Michelle´s, Kim Wells from cartranspain.com has donated a further 50 euros to Sponsor a Make a Smile Olive Tree. So almost 200 euros were raised in just a few hours. Every penny will be used to feed the children in the various Emaus homes. We would like to wish her all the best for the future.’’
VillaMia offers a property management service for owners.
VillaMia also offers clients insurance through Britta Peters from AXA, who is also be based at the office, telephone 607414129.
