Good driving results in bonus points
On 1 July the Traffic Department (DGT) will issue just over 40 million points to drivers who have maintained a clean record since the points system was introduced three years ago.
The bonus points will be given to drivers who haven´t lost any of their 12 points which they started with three years ago- which is infact almost 21 million of the 23.3 million licensed drivers on record, according to DGT figures.
The majority of drivers will be rewarded and need to keep their spotless record for another three yearsto recieve another additional bonus point, bringing them to the maximum of 15 points.
