Chaper phone calls
The European Parliament has approved a new regulation - so using your mobile phone in another EU-member state will be cheaper from 1 July.
Phone operators will cut the maximum allowed charges (excluding IVA) to:
0.43 euros per minute for outgoing calls
0.19 euros per minute for received calls
0.11 euros for text messages
As no fixed prices have been introduced, only maximum charges, mobile phome users will benefit as phone operators compete against each other on price to win new customers.
At the moment, customers are billed per minute but per-second billing will also be introduced.
And, if this isn´t good enough, further cuts are also planned next year as well.
