Over 1 million passengers have flown into Altet airport in Alicante during this summer, which is a 3% increase in passengers from the same time last summer, 2006.
Half of the arriving passengers were British.
In response to this increase in demand for the resorts of the Costa Blanca, Thomsonfly have decided to increase their flights from the UK to Altet airport by 90 flights per week.
Competing with Easyjet, the other predominant low cost airline to operate flights between the UK and Alicante, Thomsonfly flights will be available from Newcastle, Manchester, Luton, Gatwick, Liverpool, Leeds, Humberside, Belfast, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Doncaster, Durham, East Midlands and Glasgow. |
