Valencia's Intelligent Operating Theatre

Spain's Health Minister, Manuel Cervera officially opened the "Intelligent" operating theatre in La Fe Hospital in Valencia in July, which introduces Spanish patients to the lastest technology in surgery.
With just two other operating theatres like this in the world (in USA and Denmark), Spain is Europe's frontrunner in utilising audiovisual technology that gives surgeons more precise images whilst performing surgery.
It is understood that operating times can be reduced by up to 20%, and efficiency and quality should also be improved.
The technology allows the surgeon to see a much clearer image - up to 6 times the normal definistion - allowing a quality of image never before seen for these operations. |
