Denia is about to become the fourth most important port in the Valencian region, as the Valencia Ports Authority has announced the contract for the construction of the new Maritime Station on the Moll de Pansa quay.
Costing over 10 million euros, the station for ferry traffic to the Balearic Islands will have a capacity for approximately 600,000 passangers every year - and up to 6,000 per day in peak times.
It is understood that the plans for the glass fronted building show an indoor waiting hall from which passangers will be able to directly access the ferry decks, and a lartge outside terrace
