The Final of the 2007 America's Cup in Valencia will be between the same finalists as in 2003. The Swiss Alinghi team will take on Team New Zealand for the coverted crown of America's Cup Champions, having beaten them 5-0 four years ago.
Taking place during the month of June (and into July if required) in the Mediterranean waters of Valencia, this best of nine races final is the culmination of 4 years work for both teams.
It is the first final to be held in europe since 1851, and a spectacular send-off has been organised with a firework display and a fly-past by a squadron of fighter planes. |
