Javea, or Xabia, in the Northern Costa Blanca, is an exclusive coastal town sandwiched between the capes of San Antonio and la Nao. The area was once used by smugglers and pirates in the Middle Ages because of its hidden bays and caves. These caves and bays are now the territory of snorkellers, sunbathers and scuba divers.

Located at the southern base of the spectacular Montgo Mountain, javea is located midway between the cities of Alicante and Valencia, therefore reachable via both airports and the excellent motorway that joins the two cities. Javea (or Xabia) benefits from a superb all year round climate and, indeed, is recommended by the World Health Organisation for its warm summers and mild winters. |
